Why Every Leader Should Use The Enneagram

Why Every Leader Should Use The Enneagram

Have you ever wondered which Enneagram type makes the best leader?

The answer: They all do.

It’s true!

Each of the nine Enneagram types can become wildly successful and impactful leaders. That being said, each version of leadership will be as unique as the Types themselves. No two individuals will lead in the same way. Each will have different natural strengths and unique areas of growth.

For example:

  • A Type 1 leader takes seriously the responsibility of guiding the organizational ship in a way that is ethical and good. They have a genuine desire to make a positive impact, and often, they do! However, they can also be perfectionistic and this can, at times, feel unapproachable to those they lead.
  • A Type 3 leader is motivated by a strong desire to achieve. Failure simply isn’t an option. They are great at seeing potential and seizing good opportunities. While a 3’s confident drive to achieve can be motivating for those they lead, it can also, at times, cause them to be impatient with anyone or anything that slows down progress.
  • A Type 8 leader is confident, energetic, and assertive. They never shy away from a good challenge. While their energy and passion can be great assets for their teams, 8’s can also come off as overly intense and domineering, which can be difficult for some team members to receive.

The strength of any organization or group is largely tied to the strength of the leadership. Each of us has the capacity to use our leadership skills to empower the team as a whole. You, as leader, play a key role in determining the success (and failure for that matter) of your organization.

What can you do? Start with you. In order to lead others, you must first lead yourself.

Self-leadership begins with knowledge. Identifying your Enneagram type and understanding the nuances of your personality will better enable you to create a leadership success path that is tailored made for YOU.

This is better than what you can gain in any generic leadership book or video series. Leadership isn’t a one size fits all approach. It can, and should, look different depending on your unique and individual qualities.

Pursuing personal growth is beneficial for us as individuals, but it’s even more fun when we can do it with someone we love! I’ve put together a special “mother/daughter” opportunity for women looking to grow in this special relationship.

This “Mother’s Day” workshop event is designed to give mothers and their adult daughters time to grow, connect, and learn more about each other and themselves. We’ll be diving into communication styles and working towards a deeper understanding and appreciation for each woman’s personal strengths.

Sound exciting?

For those who respond this week, I’ll be offering a special “early-bird” pricing discount. Simply reply to this email with the message, “Sign me up!” to be given discount details.

I truly believe this event will be a memorable experience you don’t want to miss!
