We all have them. Pockets, that is.
More often than not, we fill those pockets with the little things that become the big things when we need them, like; our wallets, our keys, that random wrapped candy, or our smartphones.
Now, those smartphones can do just about everything it seems. Did you know that they can also make phone calls? I know, right?! Sometimes that’s the last thing we use them for.
We found another use for these technological wonders in our pockets.
Storytelling.
They say “there’s an app for that”, well, we took that to heart in creating a personalized and proven way for you to harness the power of storytelling.
You see, we found that many of our partners were struggling with conveying their story to their donor base and to their communities at large. They knew that they needed to share their stories but didn’t quite know where to start or how to arrange all of the fine details. They were already overwhelmed with the daily To Do’s to keep their organization running smoothly. It was in these conversations that we found the solution together.
We created a new course to offer: “Emmy Award Winning Storytelling Expertise ANYwhere and ANYtime.” We thought that was a long title, too.
So, we called it StoryCraft.
StoryCraft is our way of harnessing all the elements of what goes into telling a compelling story for our partners. It’s our “Creative Studio in a Boxx” (yes, Boxx with two “x”’s as in Sarah Boxx).
We offer copywriting, scriptwriting, visual support, media production, podcasting services, and more, in addition to diagnostics, strategy, planning, coaching, mentoring, direction, and implementation.
ALL of that to say, our clients have found that by having a seasoned storyteller readily available in their pocket they could finally break through that barrier and tell their story.
Case in point.
Lassen Links. Lassen Links is a collaboration of local partners focused on helping young children and their families thrive by connecting them with community resources.
They needed to share who they were and their positive impact on the lives of their clients and community members. They called Sarah at SandBoxxTM Productions.
We set up a fun, creative meeting that captured what they wanted to convey.
We then crafted a narrative vehicle in which they could tell their story and taught them how to tell future stories along the way. We were their award-winning creative studio in their hip pocket.
