Let me ask you something…what does your community involvement look like?
Are you on the bench? Or do you play the game?
Are you a bystander? Or an initiator?
You get to choose how you show up for your community. And let’s face it friend…what you give is what you get!
There’s more to gain from being an active, involved participant than a bystander.
Additionally, the communal groups you choose to join need the skills and perspectives you have to offer. Your knowledge and strengths are important.
So here’s my advice: Grab your tools and CHOOSE to get in the game!
“TOOLS” to bring to your community:
- A Positive Attitude
This is probably a “no-brainer” but I think it’s an important place to start. There’s already too much negativity filling up this world, and frankly, we don’t need any more of it. Choose to be a light in your community by adopting a positive attitude and making the choice for joy.
- The Desire To Learn
There’s always something more we can learn from those around us. Those who truly benefit from communal relationships are those who are open to receiving knowledge from others.
- The Willingness to Share
As mentioned above, YOU have something valuable to share with those around you. There are skills you’ve developed or experiences you’ve had that will benefit someone else. Be open to sharing these things with those in your community.
- A “Try New Things” Spirit
One of the greatest things about investing in a community are the opportunities it brings for new experiences. Come with a readiness to step outside your comfort zone as you form new relationships and try new things.
If you’re ready to dive deep and show up well for others, we have a spot for you!
